There is some great news from the Federal Housing Authority (FHA) for first and second time home buyers, for those wanting to refinance their home or if you find yourself, “underwater” with your current loan. FHA is now offering several programs that can be accessed online and claiming to offer the lowest rates in the state! And here is the kicker-It’s all free of charge!
FHA Money Saving and Free Services!
One of the programs the FHA offers is to “determine the maximum mortgage amount for which you could qualify”. In addition, you can, “secure a no-obligation pre-qualification letter from a lender in your area.” The FHA guarantees the lowest rate!
FHA is also helping those who may “underwater” with their mortgage. If you are currently keeping up with your payments but cannot get refinancing due to loss of appraised value of your home then the FHA can help you through the Home Affordable Refinance Program.
Visit the FHA online at http://fhagovernmentloans.org for complete information.
The FHA works within the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The primary function of the FHA is to administer the government home loan insurance program. This program enables a first time home buyer to obtain a loan that otherwise would not have been credit worthy enough to get a conventional mortgage.
Crystal Coast Market Report
Here are two graphical displays comparing the real estate markets of Carteret and Onslow counties. The supply of inventory shows the amount of inventory (homes) available on the market. A six month supply is considered normal or “stable”. Anything above that six month supply is considered a buyer’s market. Below it is a seller’s market.
The second graph compares current price trends over a five year period. Sold prices are epressed in thousands.
