DRY-OUT AHEAD! Today will steadily improve and the WEEKEND will be warm and sunny! Fishing was picking up pretty steadily until yesterday, when there were only a few Sea Mullet and Hogfish brought up.
Congratulations to PERRY GAINEY (Jacksonville, NC)–2 lb. 13 oz. POMPANO. DEBRA TYNDALL (New Bern, NC)–3 lb. 8 oz. BLACK DRUM. PAUL WHALEY & JOHNNY HOUSTON (Richlands, NC)–COOLER of SEA MULLET. RANDEL WHILLEN (Jacksonville, NC)–1 lb. 10 oz. POMPANO and LARRY COLLINS (Clemons, NC)–1 lb. 6 oz. POMPANO!
With all of the POMPANO, BLACK DRUM, SEA MULLET, and BLUEFISH that are out there, it seems like we are simply looking for a bump in the WATER TEMPERATURE to 68-69*. Currently it’s 65* (thanks Dr. Bogus) Other than the chance of T-Storms on Friday, it looks good for the next 6 days or so! …………. Come on down! ……….. MIKE STANLEY
